Inspired by the word Vero, truth, Navet explored its meaning and continuous search, spanning across fields of science, art and nature. Through the analysis of mathematics and physics’ theories and their visual expressions, the group developed pieces that are interesting and functional at the same time in both home or public spaces. The shelf gives shape to the idea of perfect equilibrium by juxtaposing a rectangular coated aluminum ledge balanced on a solid ash wood sphere cut in two planes. Playing with different volumes the elements create a game of tensions between contrasting characteristics: heavy and light, solid and volatile, natural and manufactured, searching for a perfect equilibrium.
