The Woven Bookshelf was born from a lucky mistake made by the designer. While trying to build a bookcase in his wood shop, accidentally cut one of the joinery pieces upside down, making it impossible to assemble. By finding a way to weave the joints together, Wolfond thus create a bookcase that appears to be a real puzzle; a seemingly impossible object that holds together with nothing but the interplay of its joints and is intricately woven without the need for glue or permanent connections. The inherent texture of the wood stands out in stark contrast to the painted front edges, accentuating the formation of a grid of wood that intricately woven together to form a distinct pattern. Designed to fit easily into domestic and public spaces, this versatile bookcase is available in a variety of sizes and finishes, making it suitable for a wide range of needs and environments.
